Sunday Sale Style

Today we bring you Sunday 'Sale' Style. When approached with caution (and minimal alcohol), the January sales can be an amazing resource. We have curated an edit of pieces that we have already featured on the site (and mostly in Sunday Style), so you already know we loved them at full price...

Happy New Year! We hope you ate and drank too much, gave and received some lovely gifts, helped out where you could, and also managed to squeeze in some much-needed rest. We know we did!

Seeing as we missed last week’s Sunday Style because it clashed with The Big Day, we thought we would step up this week and bring you Sunday ‘Sale’ Style. Much like Black Friday, love them or loathe them, you can’t really ignore them. And when approached with caution (and minimal alcohol), they can be amazing. We have curated an edit of pieces that we have already featured on the site (and mostly in Sunday Style), so you already know we loved them at full price.  We’re not necessarily the biggest fans of ‘The Sales’ as a whole, but having said that there’s no denying that as long as you keep a cool head, great bargains that will stand the test of time (and really, those are the only ones worth considering in our opinion) are definitely out there for the taking. And this is a great time to nab something (designer) that has until now, been financially out of reach/beyond your budget).

A few little ‘rules’ to keep in mind though…

1. Is it something you have been eyeing for a while now? Is it already on your Lust/Wish List?

2. Will it work with multiple things already in your wardrobe?
Or
Will it spark joy/make you feel great/special every time you wear it?

3. Can you afford it? We know how tempting it is, and how hard it can be to walk away from something you love, that’s now seemingly within your grasp, but please don’t get into debt for the sake of a fashion bargain. There will be others, we promise.

If you can honestly answer a firm ‘YES’ to to all three, then we say, go for it! If it helps as a reference point, we tend to make one or two sale purchase per season (Sarah has a January birthday, which is always helpful too, and has crowd-funded a few designer sale purchases in the past, her Jérôme Drefuss Bobi bag to name one). Of course, we’re not here to judge you or tell you what you should or shouldn’t do, but just thought you might find that helpful?

We have also rounded up all the links and discount information (below) for all the brands’ sales we think you might also be interested in.

xx

ps: don’t forget out of season bargains too. For example, now is a great time to snag a fab pair of for the summer. Put them away, then smugly get them out in a few month’s time.

pps: in case you missed it, we also did a round-up of all our favourite sale bargains for the home.
