The Last… With Chloe Forde
Chloe Forde is a Fashion Stylist and Founder of online lifestyle brand Ace & Prince. A mother of two and based in London.
Time you danced?
This week with my kids in the kitchen. My 5 year old is currently obsessed with the 90s song Freed From Desire.
Thing you bought from an actual shop?
Tin of coconut milk.
Thing you brought online?
A bra from Skims.
Person you spoke to?
My best friend on the phone.
Podcast you listened to?
I LOVE a podcast but I am currently looking for a recommendation! The last I listened to was Changes by Annie Macmanus, it’s really brilliant.
New brand you discovered?
Mihii.
Film you watched at the cinema?
The Little Mermaid with my daughter.
TV series you watched at home?
I don’t really watch TV, but I watched Swarm earlier this year and my god! So creepy but so so amazing.
Restaurant you ate at?
Isla at the Standard in King’s X with girlfriends.
Takeaway you ordered?
The Good Egg for breakfast at home. Get the Sibh, the aubergine is unreal.
Book you read?
I love getting lost in a good book but since having my son I haven’t made it a priority. I really need to. Life just feels so busy.
Magazine you flicked through?
Apartamento magazine whilst waiting for my appointment at Bam Bam Brows last week.
Country you visited?
My goodness it’s been TOO long, but Greece.
Town you walked around?
London, does that count?
Time you cried?
Two weeks ago. I’ve been recovering from surgery and it’s been a real journey.
Time you laughed until you cried?
I had friends over for dinner last week and for me there’s nothing better than having the women I love in one place, eating and drinking and laughing until we cry.
Thing you do at night before switching off the light?
Put my phone on charge.
Meal you cooked?
I made a veggie soup at 11 am this morning in the hope that one of my children will eat it this weekend.
Cocktail you drank?
A Negroni. Always.
Play you saw?
Not a play but I saw Cleo Sol at the Royal Albert Hall last month and it was phenomenal.
Thing you baked?
I actually baked a chocolate chip banana bread today as I was popping into a friends house with the kids for a playdate this afternoon and really didn’t want to go empty handed.
Thing you burnt?
The banana bread today ha! I had to cut the edges off. Luckily she’s a really close friend so it didn’t matter too much.
Time you said sorry?
In an email yesterday (does that count?) apologising to a client for not being able to make a meeting.
Website you bookmarked?
I’ve never bookmarked a website. I wish I was this organised.
Song you added to a playlist?
Be Mine by Qendresa.
Person you kissed?
My babies before they went to bed tonight.
Travelled by bus?
My least favourite form of transport. Maybe a month or so ago.
Radio station you listened to?
LBC.
Time you swore?
Leaving a VN to a friend this evening. There’s a swear word in most of my adult conversations… I should really sort that out.
Biscuit you ate?
The most amazing biscuits on set yesterday, Lu Le Petit Chocolat. Wow.
Item of clothing you wore two days running?
Today, I’m wearing my Christopher Kane More Joy sweatshorts for the second day in a row. They are so comfortable.
Thing you smelt?
I’ve currently got five candles lit in my living room, I’m not sure exactly which one I’m smelling. It’s a bit of an assault on my senses.
Time you said I love you?
To my kids, I’ve just put them to bed.
Loving right now…
Skims well and truly have me in a chokehold. I love their minimal, non-underwired, neutral colour. I just ordered this in the Net-a-Porter sale and I’m already thinking I should have bought two.
I’m really loving Refy makeup at the moment. I did a big order and have had this lip product in rotation.
Making a Negroni at home is a bit of an effort, so I love having these in the fridge.
It’s finally short season in London and I love a track short and I’m probably biased but these Ace & Prince ones are the best.
I have just ordered this top.
I’m planning on wearing these with an oversized cashmere sweater in the autumn.
