15 Favourites From Free People

Perfect slip skirts and dresses, elevated cargo pants, slouchy suede bag, coolest (and cosiest) knits

1.
Slips are always so useful to have, and can be styled/worn in so many ways, year-round (something that always appeals). I love how feminine they are, but they still feel cool in that whole ‘nineties Courtey Love’ way. I wear mine with chunky jumpers during winter, and white slub-line tees for summer. The addition of the sheer lace panel gives ‘sexy’ without being too revealing (and works just as well with tights as bare legs).

2.
A slouchy suede shoulder bag (generally with jeans rather than dresses – that can feel a bit Nineties student Union…) is always a good idea in my book. I love how simple this one is. It comes in a bunch of colours, my faves being the Rust,  Black and Coconut Shell. A great price too.

3.
The prettiest set for summer nights (and stylish summer lounging). This is something Free People always do so well – their ‘Sleep & Lounge’ is always one of my favourite categories, and I have so many (treasured) pieces from there. You could totally wear each of these pieces separately on holiday – too gorgeous to only be confined to the bedroom.

4.
This top is giving strong Sea NY vibes. Don’t be put off by the more cropped silhouette – it will be perfect with high-waited jeans/trousers/shorts. Plus, (should you want to) showing the tiniest sliver of skin can be nice…

5.
Love this knit so much. And again, comes in a ton of colours, but my absolute favourite is the Dark Brown (which to me, is more of a ‘mink’ shade, always a favourite). I love how it looks handmade. Gorgeous. Oh, and this low scoop neckline? Perfect for layering.

6.
This beautiful duster coat might seem a little left field at first, but I absolutely love it. It looks like you could have found it in an amazing vintage store in Paris. It’s giving Kate Moss, way back when… It needs to be effortless, chucked over an outfit – not too considered. To look and feel nonchalant. Think white tee, jeans and boots, or a simple little dress and heels.

7.
A great mini. Wear with tights and ballet flats or sandals in the summer. The Ocean Blue is my favourite.

8.
Another gorgeous slip (a dress this time), with all the ruffles. Definitely more of a ‘put away until the summer/your holiday’ vibe, but love it as a dress or over (loose) jeans or short. In Vanilla.

9.
My favourite kind of summer sandals are the ones that look like you bought them on holiday – France, Italy, Morocco… These tick that box. Love the Expresso colour – perfect with white/cream and denim.

10.
I will never not love a chunky cable knit. And it’s the slouch of this cardigan that drew me in. It’s the Tea for me please.

11.
These caught my eye straight away. I’m calling them ‘an elevated cargo pant’. So good! Imagine for evening in the summer? Or with trainers for day?

12.
Not just a (super-cute) towelling tote (what is it about towling?), but a towelling tote and matching towel! Beach chic.

13.
The final slip (style) dress is this lace-trimmed maxi version. Great with a chunky knit chucked over (jumper or cardigan) or just on its own on summer nights. In  Deep Fudge.

14.
A shorter slip is great for wearing right now with tights and either ballet flats or tall boots. Add an oversized knit and coat/barn jacket. Spoilt for choice with these colour options – love them all (possibly with the exception of the Dark Blue). It was also one of last week’s best sellers (in the Peach Paisley) on Douceur. Just saying.

15.
This workwear-style  jacket with delicate lace trim is giving all the Chloé/Sienna vibes. It’s the Almond Flour for me. Love!
