Holidays are officially back on and I for one am giddy at the prospect of packing a bag and running for the sun! I know we are currently in the midst of a heatwave in the UK (and long may it last), but there is nothing like a 4am alarm call, a passport panic and a saunter around duty free to really set the mood! No holiday is complete without a fine-tuned packing situation and after many years of taking way more than is necessary, I’ve finally perfected the less is more approach for my holiday wardrobe. The packing list is as follows:
An oversized tote (how good is ) that doubles-up as a carry-on for the flight, a beach bag and a shopper for any local town/market purchases; a swimsuit and a bikini (only of the large pant variety), I love the colour (yes, that’s right, I said colour!) of ; a few dresses that can be rotated for day and night, I’m really into and ; a pair of lightweight (silk or linen) trousers; a small (i.e. 3 max) selection of cover-ups – mine tend to be oversized shirts like , shorts ( are currently winging their way to me) and I’m loving . I am not a sarong kinda lady! A couple of sandal options – a more substantial pair like birkies (I have the Jil Sander collaboration which I have literally not removed from my feet since purchasing them) are good for the flight, beach and sightseeing etc and a more for evening. I also pop in a single for minimum evening effort. Oh, and don’t forget a hat. Et voila! Here is a little selection that I hope will inspire you! Have a great summer!
