Joe Hutchings’ Mens Summer Edit

My name is Joe Hutchings, Brand Director of a Footwear & accessories brand Grenson. I have been there for nearly 20 years which seems long, but for a brand that is over 150 years old it isn’t at all! I live in West London with my wife and kids, and split my time between London where we have our showroom and our factory in Northamptonshire. Sarah is one of my oldest friends and I’m so proud of what she has achieved with Douceur. Thank you for asking me a second time to give you my mens seasonal picks.

I tend to dress from the feet up for obvious reasons and our sandal business has been gathering momentum over the past couple of years and has now become a really important category in our business. The fisherman sandal is our best seller and we have three versions of it however the latest with its soft foot bed is my favourite is Quinton. He comes in Black and our signature tan hand painted leather. Another favourite is Dale. Again he comes in various colours/leathers. I have the black but have also just got the brown moc croc version.
Lastly on the footwear, I have been wearing a lot of loafers. We have a couple of great shapes, but I tend to wear a classic penny shape as I have a wider foot. I wear Jago. There is a great loafer this season called Floyd which has what we call a ‘skeleton lining’ which makes it really soft and easy to wear.

We have been working with the brand YMC recently and one of the guys I work with there had this jacket on at our last meeting and I have ordered one, as I really like the stitch detail and the indigo colour.
They also  worked recently on a project with Beyond Retro and created these fantastic shirts.
