Minimalist Party Edit by Des Lewis

Chic, pared back, sexy, cool

Much like my everyday wear, for party season, I stay in my lane and stick to neutral colours (ie black, black and more black, although I have been known to throw in a pop of colour with an accessory) in simple clean and minimal styles.  I am almost always drawn towards long lean silhouettes (I’m not much of a mini girl) so midi or maxi dresses and skirts or trousers. Tops tend to be silk or satin or sometimes a jersey bodycon style (if there is no food involved in the evening) or something structured – one of my favourite brands is Róhe, I love the simplicity and elegance of this bustier which can be worn multiple ways, with a black or cream trousers or maxi skirt, over a white shirt or to pimp a pair of jeans! All worn with a blazer or tailored coat.

I’m a flats girl most of the time and tend to follow the same rule for evenings out and there are those that look the part like these. I wear very little jewelleryin the day but for party season I think it’s the finishing touch that can elevate a whole look. Earrings are my go-to and I’m coveting these. Just add a bag and you are ready for a spin on the dancefloor!
