18 New Ins We’re Loving At M&S
Chic oversized blazers, pretty rouched ballet flats, statement blouses, stylish rainwear
1.
Great blouse in a great colour. And 100% cotton.
2.
The jeans I’ve barely taken off since buying them in December. I have the Light Indigo)
3.
Still not over (not even close to being) the barn jacket. This one is the most similar to the original, Carhartt one too. Plus the leather collar is an elevated detail I’m enjoying. Loving layering mine over chunky knits etc.
4.
The waxed coat we never knew we needed (until it failed to stop raining in England). Saw this in store last week and it’s fab. I like that the hood is detachable (I’m not really a hood kind of gal).
5.
Great colour, weight, length (a too short trench always looks cheap). A seriously fab trench.
6.
A cosy (it’s wool), thicker-than-average blazer, so perfect for winter. This style of jacket is a bit of a go-to of mine in the colder moths. I would size up to maximise layering potential. So great with jeans.
7.
I featured these sandals in last week’s Sunday Style – they are super-chic, and definitely do not look like high street (it’s the metal toe loop). I’d wear them with long, baggier jeans and floor-sweeping skirts and dresses come summer. They also come in a great burgundy colour.
8.
Just a really pretty white cotton blouse. Nothing more to add. Oh, except that I am wearing my similar blouses under chunky cardigans right now.
9.
Rouched/elasticated ballet flats are definitely having a moment, and this pair is giving The Row. I also saw them IRL in store and they’re fab. I just can’t decide between the chocolate and the pink. I’ll be wearing with straight leg jeans and chunky knits for non-rain/working from home days. The almond shaped toe is perfect.
10.
Car coats are always everywhere at the moment, and this chocolate suedette one is perfect with denim. Keep the fit relaxed and slouchy. I love that this one looks quite vintage too. It will serve you well in spring.
11.
Another waxed jacket, but this time the more classic ‘Barbour’, utility style. I love the corduroy turn-back cuffs.
12.
The ruffles, the stripes, the lace inserts… The most gorgeous statement blouse. Wear with black jeans and boots (or sandals in the summer)
13.
A pair of black ballet flats are (to me) a must-have in a wardrobe. Again, it’s the shape of these that’s spot-on. They’re elegant with that almond toe again. I literally live in my ballet pumps, and have done pretty much since the 90’s to be honest. They’re always chic and stylish, no matter what.
14.
For all your stylish corporate ladies with what I like to call ‘real jobs’ out there, this is a seriously stylish blazer. Navy, linen, with the (skinny) tie belt.
15.
And the matching trousers, which can, of course, be worn separately too. They’re a great wide leg style.
16.
A knit with a subtle pretty detail is always a go-to of mine, and this one caught my eye in store the other day (The Meadows in Camberley if you’re interested?). Only the charcoal though.
17.
There are so many great faux fur coats and jackets around at the moment, and this is a fab one for wearing with high/er waisted jeans and trousers. I love how ‘neat’ the shape and style is. Cosy and cute.
18.
This Autograph blazer is definitely elevated. It’s the shape, style (and length) we all need in our wardrobes (I have a similar one from & Other Stories). I love how it’s styled here, but also so, so good with jeans (a blazer and jeans will forever be a favourite combo of mine).
