We knew it was only a matter of time before we started seeing the diluted version of the influential Chloé Autumn/Winter 24/25 collection filtering through on the High Street. And I was ready and waiting. H&M and Mango are definitely front-runners, but we also cast our net a little wider, finding gems at River Island, Athropologie and ASOS. There are a few key ingredients to this particular look – chiffon, ruffles, and lace being the main three. The colour palette is also pretty crucial (particularly when you’re getting the look on a budget) – browns, dusky and ‘off’ pinks, nude, coffee, powder blue, cream, white and black.
Styling-wise – whilst you don’t necessarily want to look like you’re stepped of the Chloé runway, there are definitely some key takeaways from the show’s styling that we can all adopt and adapt to our lives. Mix in pale/bleached denim, mostly in the form of wide-leg jeans (with a chiffon top/blouse), or mannish, (and ideally) floor-grazing black trousers (so good with a white lace blouse). Add a great pair of over-the-knee boots (not as scary as they might sound) with a long chiffon dress – it’s the assurance of no flashes of skin, ironically, that keeps things sexy and cool (I have got my eye firmly on this Sézane pair). Studded accessories – bags and (flat) shoes (perfect with the short dresses), and gold jewellery (this is a great version of the Chloé one).
It’s the mixing of fabric and textures that make this look work – hard and soft, sheer and opaque, feminine and tough. And I am (unsurprisingly) 100% here for it.
