Sunday Style

The coat that's firmly on Sarah's Autumn Wish List, trans-seasonal denim, thigh high boots to wear with chiffon dresses, baskets for Autumn

Happy Sunday!
So this week’s edit is the last one of the summer. It’s a bit of a funny mix, as there are some great coats coming through that I couldn’t not include (we all know by now that you can’t wait until you actually need to wear one to buy one, as all the best ones sell out – annoying, but true. Same goes for boots). So there are some winter pieces, but also still some summer bits too. I also like to still share things like summer dresses, sandals, baskets etc, as I love mixing them in with more wintery pieces for Autumn – such a great blend (I’m going to be covering this in more detail in next week’s Douceur Diaries newsletter). As much as I love Autumn/Winter dressing, I will also hold out as long as possible before fully engaging Winter mode, otherwise it just feels like we’re wearing our Winter wardrobes FOREVER (in the UK anyway). And in my book, that’s just too long.
So this week’s loves (there are many) include the coat that’s firmly on my Autumn Wish List, how fab are these; this would look so cute with a blouse layered underneath and ballet flats; if you’re looking for a beach cover-up I love this crochet one; a great blouse; so cool for evening with heels and a cashmere crew-neck; just ordered these boots; a great pair of long denim shorts will be see you chicly through to Autumn (with flats and an oversized blazer); these would be perfect with all the Chloé-esque chiffon dresses around; get your notifications on for the chocolate version of this dreamy bag; I’m in the market for a super-oversize pair of striped pyjamas and a pair of Mary Jane borg slippers. Oh and don’t be too hasty in packing away your summer baskets – I love a basket with jeans and a blazer (even a coat) for Autumn (in fact anytime, as long as it’s not raining…)
