It is definitely the thought that counts when it comes to gifts, but don’t we all love being spoiled from time to time? With Mother’s Day around the corner, I have compiled a list of lovely things to give (or if you are lucky, to receive!) for the special woman (or women) in your life. For an extra indulgent present I love Gucci’s 1955 (chic, but with a practical strap – because, hands-free) Sophie Billie Brahe’s decadent velvet jewellery box, Aurum + Grey’s delicate initial charm (which you can add more letters to) or a lipstick from Hermes’s first makeup collection – the packaging is beyond beautiful. If your budget doesn’t stretch quite so far, remember a meaningful present doesn’t have to break the bank. Kiley Reid’s thought-provoking debut , Huskee’s sleek (I have this and always get asked where it is from) H&M’s scalloped gold , or a monogrammed and natural for a soak in the bath, are all gorgeous and under £20. And you can never go wrong with a bottle of or a bunch of flowers – FlowerBx is my favourite for simple yet striking bouquets. For me, I love Liberty’s whimsical print , which I wouldn’t actually wear, but instead frame as a piece of art; or afternoon tea at Claridges – the ultimate treat (which is what I am going to organise for my mother when she is next visiting London.) However, considering my husband is very unlikely to read this, I am not holding out much hope for the scarf or a date at Claridges, but I am equally thrilled with a cup of tea in bed and homemade cards (is there anything sweeter than a messy card with childish writing?) I might just bookmark this list for my birthday instead!
