My (a little bit of everything) Matalan Edit

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I really do believe you can find some great options (not just for us to wear, but for our kids and our homes too) at the cheaper end of the high street these days. I have never been a label snob – in fact, the thrill of unearthing the-harder-to-find-gems is always way greater! Fact. My most worn and most treasured pieces are definitely not just my designer/more expensive things. Now I’m not popping into Matalan on a weekly basis (mostly because there isn’t one that close to me to be honest, although I definitely look online pretty regularly for Sunday Style), but every few months I do a ‘swoop’, and I always always find some great things that I want, and know you will want too. Yes, you have to look, but then that’s what I love to do – it’s like digging for treasure.
For this post I have not just focused one area (it’s always my favourite kind of edit to include a bit of everything) , and I have to say I was seriously impressed by the Baby collection (Peter Pan collars, Liberty-style floral prints, French embroidery, pretty rompers, gingham, smocking and 100% cotton definitely exceeded any expectations!). See for yourselves (below) if you don’t believe me!
Home always have some great wallet-friendly additions, and some of my favourites are this (almost identical to one I already own, with a much larger price tag), these (so chic – they remind me of pretty French hotel rooms), this handwoven ; this perfect (which I do already own, and would also make great bedside tables).
From the women’s I have focused more on the new denim collection (you all  know how much I love and live in my denim!), and these slim leg and these distressed (not as super-skinny if you size up, which I did, and I love the mid-wash) are definitely favourites. I also love this (of course), these skate style (hello, remember the beloved Celine’s??), and these stompers (I’ll be wearing mine with dresses, not for walks in Richmond Park).
The girls and boys’ collections are definitely worth a look too (love these, this, this, and this, although to be honest, I’ve already done it for you, so no need really! Go and make yourself a cup of tea/pour yourself a glass of wine instead…

ps: these frames are pretty good too, if you’re in the market for some?
